There appear to be three different book covers[http://www.members.shaw.ca/grossdeutschland/book.gif][http://www.tbpcontrol.co.uk/TWS/CoverImages_0/030/435/0304352403.jpg][http://i43.tower.com/images/mm107257863/forgotten-soldier-guy-sajer-paperback-cover-art.jpg], all usable under fair use, however if you can tell me which one you want, I can attempt to do you one better and actually get permission to use a high res version of it. If we fair use it, we have to use a low res, under 200px version. One other reason to ask for permission - while technically allowed, CZ discourages fair use unless there is absolutely no other way. Welcome!

Citizendium Getting Started
Quick Start | About us | Help system | Start a new article | For Wikipedians

Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! D. Matt Innis 17:09, 27 June 2008 (CDT)

Welcome! Glad to see you are making some good first starts. Citizendium does need more gaming articles. Be sure to have a look at CZ:Games Workgroup (where you can find links to games articles people have already written) and CZ:Home, CZ:Quick Start, CZ:Article Mechanics. Don't worry if you don't get welcomed immediately - because of the size of Citizendium, most people tend to work on their own things independently - don't be discouraged. Hope you enjoy writing for Citizendium! --Tom Morris 16:01, 28 June 2008 (CDT)

A belated welcome

Apologies for not having seen your bio before. You may find Future Combat Systems immediately of interest, but there is quite a bit on advanced military systems and doctrine, such as swarming (military), Global Information Grid, Counter-rocket, artillery and mortar, Counterbattery, Insurgency, etc. I'd welcome review on comments on any of the military articles. Garnet

Nice piece on Garnet, well done. I put the bookkeeping line {{subpages}} in it and created a template. Keep up the good work! --Paul Wormer 16:49, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Forgotten Soldier, and other things

I've starting working on that article as Military Editor, but probably can't do much until I get the book through interlibrary loan, hopefully next week.

Have you read Future Combat Systems, Restructuring of the United States Army, and perhaps Warfighter Information Network-Tactical? For that matter, while it's first naval, Cooperative Engagement Capability might interest you, as would swarming (military) and a few hardware items such as intra-squad radio. I'm always looking for feedback. Howard C. Berkowitz 18:05, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Forgotten Soldier Image Request

There appear to be three different book covers[1][2][3], all usable under fair use, however if you can tell me which one you want, I can attempt to do you one better and actually get permission to use a high res version of it. If we fair use it, we have to use a low res, under 200px version. One other reason to ask for permission - while technically allowed, CZ discourages fair use unless there is absolutely no other way.
