The UEFA Champions League is a football competition played in Europe. Each year, 32 of the best European clubs (qualifying through their own domestic leagues as well as qualifying matches), from more than 50 leagues, engage in this league-cum-knockout competition, with the winner taking home the Henri Delaney trophy.
The UEFA Champions League, held by UEFA is arguably the most lucrative, prestigious and popular inter-club competition in the world.
The current Champions League edition is the 2007-08 season, whose final is scheduled to be held in Moscow on May 21, 2008.
AC Milan are the current Champions League holders, having beaten Liverpool 2-1 in the 2006-07 final.
