: I don't think that alcohol and Ethanol should be combined. The page on alcohol should point to the pages about it's chemical makeup and biological effect, but should also describe alcohol as the important social and cultural phenomena that it is (oh, Shakespeare, it "provokes the desire but takes away the performance" indeed!). The current page, Alcohol (drug) seems like an appropriate place for this kind of discussion, while Ethanol would be a good place for discussion of it as a chemical. Similarly, when someone visits the page about LSD, they are expecting to see a little more than just it's molecular makeup, important though that is. --Tom Morris 18:46, 28 April 2008 (CDT) |

Combine with "Ethanol" article?
Should this stub perphaps be combined with, and changed into a redirect to, the article on "Ethanol"? Perhaps the Health Sciences Workgroup could decide how to cure this apparent duplication. Bruce M.Tindall 18:29, 28 April 2008 (CDT)
