The DFG or Deutsche Fotschungsgemeinschaft (English: German Research Foundation) is a German organization that supports research at universities and other research institutions by funding. The DFG is based in Bonn.
The DFG supports research projects in science and the humanities as well as cooperation between researchers of all disciplines. Together with the secretary general he leads the executive board, which is responsible for the foundation's daily business.
