Mervyn Peake(1911 - 1968), reknowned author, a writer of modern the modern classics such as Gormenghast.

Life

Mervyn Peake was born in China in 1911. Educated at Tientsin Grammar School, Eltham College, Kent and Academy Schooles. His first publishing acheivement was a book of poetry Shapes & Sounds published in 1941.
