Kaveret (Hebrew: כוורת, beehive) was an Israeli rock band that existed in the years 1973-1976, and was known mainly in Israel.

Kaveret was formed in 1973 by a group of former members of Israeli Defence Army (IDF) singing bands led by the composer and song writer Danny Sanderson. It's first hit song was "Hamagafa'im Shel Baruch" (המגפיים של ברוך, Baruch's Boots). This song, composed by Sanderson, mixed guitar rock, pop, humour and typical military singing bands singing style set the tone for Kaveret's entire career. A very successful Album and show ("Sipurei Pugi", סיפורי פוגי, Stories of Poogie) followed the success of their initial hit, with another successful album ("Pugy Be'Pitta", פוגי בפיתה, Poogie in Pitta-bread) released in mid 1974. In 1974 Kaveret also participated in the Eurovision song contest, getting to 7th place.

A third album and show, from mid 1975, contained more rock music and less of Kaveret's staple mix of pop and humour. The lukewarm success of the album and show marked the beginning of the end for the band, and after a short bout of shows in the United States the band members embarked on individual careers.

Kaveret re-united for special performances on four separate occassions (1984-2000). Some of its members continued to collaborate in later years, most notably with the Bands "Gazoz" and "Doda" and guest appearances in each other's shows and albums.
