I've restored the content of this page for various reasons including a need for discussion. Also this page deals with links and link syntax and the content was deleted in favor of a page dealing with external link subpages, which is both a different topic (one dealing with subpages and not wiki syntax) and a subset of link syntax (for instance how to write an internal link is not discussed on the external link page).
