It involves the use of nanostructured materials and devices with biological applications, as well as the use of biomolecules for development or application of nanotechnology. Examples of current and potential applications of nanobiotechnology are: use of nanodots for imaging, development of nanomotors, nanoscale imaging, nanobots, etc.
