Nord-Trøndelag ("Northern Trøndelag") is one of Norway's 19 counties. The county seat is Steinkjer, and the largest cities are Steinkjer, Stjørdal, Namsos, Levanger, and Verdal.
Politics
The local government is dominated by the Centre Party, with the Labour Party also having a strong position.
Nature
The county is divided by Trondheimsfjorden and Beistadfjorden. The landscape is pretty rough, but the areas around Levanger, Stjørdal, and Verdal are suitable for agriculture.
Transport
All of Nord-Trøndelag's larger towns are connected to the railway system. One of the main roads of Norway cross the county and follows the railway.
