Lois McMaster Bujold (born 1949) is an American science fiction and fantasy writer who, between 1988 and 2018, has won seven Hugo awards (fan-voted) and three Nebula awards (writer-voted), three Locus awards, and more[1]. Bujold's most famous set of recurring characters are in the Vorkosigan universe, which is pure science fiction. She has also written several additional recurring universes in the fantasy genre. In 2017, she won the Hugo for best series for the Vorkosigan universe. In 2018, she won the Hugo for best series again, this time for her fantasy works in the "The World of Five Gods" universe.
