The Liaden universe is the science fiction and fantasy world created by co-authors Sharon Lee and Steve Miller over decades of writing together. From 1988 to the present, they have published for the Liaden universe more than two dozen novels and numerous novelettes and short stories, bundled into a confusing array of omnibus editions. Although they may be characterized as space opera, the stories sometimes contain fantasy elements such as psionic abilities in people, animals or plants.
