Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Some ideas for contributions
Hi Jared, welcome aboard CZ. Matt has already given you some hints as to how things work here in general, and I wish to add some more practical hints on what possibilities you have to contribute. For a start, I just took some of the keywords from the information you supplied upon registration, and display below the current state of the related CZ articles (for documentation, see Template:Rpl/Doc):
- Biology: The science of life — of complex, self-organizing, information-processing systems living in the past, present or future. [e]
- Genetics: The study of the inheritance of characteristics, genes and DNA. [e]
- Basic science: Add brief definition or description
- Escherichia coli: A flagellated rod-shaped bacterium; a major species in the lower intestines of mammals. [e]
- Model species: Species often used in research as models for the study of biological processes. [e]
- Morphology: The study of biological structure. [e]
- Morphogenesis: The formation of biological structure during development. [e]
- Evo-devo: Add brief definition or description
- Pharmacology: Study of the changes produced in living animals by chemical substances, especially the actions of therapeutics, substances used to treat disease. [e]
- Reptile: Any animal of the class Reptilia, i.e. air-breathing, cold-blooded, usually scaly and typically egg-laying. [e]
- Venom: Add brief definition or description
- Limb regeneration: Add brief definition or description
- Salamander: Add brief definition or description
- Bacteria: A major group of single-celled microorganisms. [e]
- Biofilm: Layers of organic material composed of and produced by microorganisms. [e]
