:::::::Robert, the notion that I am threatening to remove you from the wiki is laughable. I don't know where you get that from: by saying that I am Editor-in-Chief? How does that mean I'm ''threatening'' you? It ''doesn't.'' I utterly reject the notion that I am abusing my authority or micromanaging. You, on the other hand, seem to want to micromanage ''me'' when you draw me into this sort of discussion over--what? Colors on a recipe template. Well, Robert, ''allow me to state my opinion, and respect it.'' When you think I "don't get it," as you seem to have been thinking for some time now, how is it possible that I offer an opinion without your thinking that I am "micro-managing" or acting like a tyrant? With your attitude, it becomes just impossible for me to comment on your work without a hostile or defensive reaction. Since you do a lot of work on the wiki, it is ''crucial'' that I remain free to comment on your work. So this is a problem. Therefore, I believe we should take this off-wiki with a mediator, and see if we can arrive at some mutual understanding about how to proceed. --[[User:Larry Sanger|Larry Sanger]] 13:27, 20 March 2008 (CDT)

One of the major issues with the new skin I've discovered is that it limits the text width to probably around 70-80% of the actual width as compared to monobook (current default) which is a real problem. Also, a lot of templates designed to look "correct" in monobook look totally hosed in the new skin e.g. the spacing between elements is wrong, line spacing is suddenly double or triple. You can definately see the difference particularly with this template. --[[User:Robert W King|Robert W King]] 10:12, 21 March 2008 (CDT)

Nix to the garish colors. --Larry Sanger 12:19, 20 March 2008 (CDT)
- What, why? On second thought, color is matter of preference, and if there are real, substantial objections to the way it looks I will change them, but not just because one person doesn't like it. --Robert W King 12:20, 20 March 2008 (CDT)

nearly finished template
Glad to see that it's apparently near the end!
- I agree with the others who think the colors should either be toned down or mostly eliminated.
- I'll work with it tomorrow.
- I also think that there *has* to be a Preparation Notes to start, or Notes at the end, or something very similiar in a conspicuous place.
- ok.
- At least on my screen, once again the template box is quite *narrow* -- are you going to widen it up?
Hayford Peirce 20:54, 20 March 2008 (CDT)
- I can do that. --Robert W King 22:03, 20 March 2008 (CDT)

Color suggestions
Please provide input on what colors should be on the template. --Robert W King 22:21, 21 March 2008 (CDT)
