I am an electrical engineer, having graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2002 and further completing a Master's degree in 2006. Topics of interest include: sports cars, South Africa, Islam and tangentially probably science-, astronomy- and engineering-related topics.
I am active on Wikipedia under the user name Zunaid editing pretty much the same topics (visible here). It remains to be seen whether the sheer bureaucracy of Citizendium proves to be its downfall or its saving grace, and I've decided to help the project along by pitching in and giving things a try.
I like the idea of not having to deal with the hassle of vandalism and well-intentioned-but-unconstructive editors undoing my hard work. However the project is currently far short of the "critical mass" it needs to achieve to make it sustainable.
