Ghazi al-Yawar (1958-) is one of two Vice-Presidents of Iraq, and was President in the Interim Iraqi Government. Prior to that, he was one of the three rotating presidents of the Iraqi Governing Council He is a member of the Shammar tribe, which is primarily Sunni but has Shiite members, and a former exile.
