I do not claim any sort of editorship other than being Editor-in-Chief, I'm afraid, not even in philosophy or the Internet.  I am too long out of doing any serious research.

Hi there! Larry Sanger here. My official title is now Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Citizendium. I started this thing, but I'm no longer in any official leadership capacity. I'm happy to be able to report that the project now enjoys an existence independent of me, per my own previously-announced intentions back in 2006. My best wishes go with this very worthy project!

I'm happy to report that I'm extremely busy! You can add to my shameful backlog of e-mail at larry <at> sanger.io.

You can read more about me at my personal home page and blog. I have a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Ohio State and a passion for Irish traditional music. I was born in the Seattle area and grew up in Anchorage, Alaska.

In 2008-10 I slowly ramped up my work on what became WatchKnowLearn.org, a project to organize educational videos for PreK-12 education. I also posted a 140-page essay, free of charge, called How and Why I Taught My Toddler to Read. In October 2011 I launched Reading Bear, a free reading tutorial for children. I have since worked on a variety of Internet projects as founder and as consultant. As of 2020, I am a consultant at Sanger Consulting.
