I have studied medicine at the University of Basel (Switzerland) and the 3. Medical Faculty of the University of Prague (Czech Republic). I focused especially in all brain related disciplines. During that time I have done lab work in neuropathology (Institute of Pathology, Basel) and molecular genetics (Biozentrum Basel). Thereafter I have studied natural sciences at the University of Zurich (Switzerland), namely neurobiology, mathematics and computer science. My thesis deals with navigation behaviour in the desert ant Cataglyphis with potential applications in robotics. The research was done at the Institutes of Zoology and Informatics in Zurich and at the desert research station in Mahares, Tunisia. Since then I am involved in neuropsychiatry research projects at the Psychiatric University Clinic Zurich with a focus on psychosis research.
