A bit about me

Nice to meet you, I am Lin Barneveld and I live in Belgium. English is not my natural language, but I can honestly say it is my favorite one. One can hardly call me a 'spring chicken' since I spent no less than 36 years as a schoolteacher. I am 'retired' now, although more busy than ever. In the early 80's of the former century I bought my first 'computer', and I learned Basic and later Pascal. I used that knowledge to write educational programs for schools in my spare time. Since my moto still is 'I enjoy, so I am', my interests are versatile. I took several courses in the Dutch Open University, especially in arts, philosophy, history and IT. I like to paint, no walls, but on canvas with oil and on wood with acrylics. I like rock music and I am addicted to World of Warcraft. But most of all I love English literature and especially the works of Geoffrey Chaucer. I wrote or adapted several articles on Chaucer for Wikipedia. I would like to do the same for Citizendium.
