SISMI is the most common way to refer to the former Italian military intelligence service, Servizio per le Informazioni e la Sicurezza Militare (Military Intelligence and Security Service). In a 2007 reorganization, it was replaced, as the external intelligence organization, by the Agenzia Informazioni e Sicurezza Esterna (AISE).
