Lists people who contributed at least 250 words to an article; note that a human being must decide whether a person contributed 250 words, this is not determined by the template. Lists anywhere from 1 to 10 contributors.
An optional argument, "others", can be used to add the phrase "and another contributor" or "and other contributors", as appropriate; set it to "1" to give the first, and anything else to give the second. Note that the needed number of named contributors is adjusted if "others" is present; 4 for "1" and 3 otherwise.
