South Korea (officially in Korean: Daehan Minguk, that is 'Great Nation of the People of Han/Korea' but officially translated in Republic of Korea), is a state in the southern side of Korea. It is bordered by North Korea to the north and is surrounded by the Yellow Sea to the west, by the East Sea to the east and by the Korea Strait to the south. The capital is Seoul.
