::Milton, I will be in HMB (Ca) until the end of April. One of these days I'll read your compressibility article. The only thing is that I have to read/write everything without being able to check my books (I can use part of Internet, though, but not the part that goes through my university). --[[User:Paul Wormer|Paul Wormer]] 18:09, 2 April 2008 (CDT) | |||

I re-titled one section and expanded it. I also added a new section. Those edits may contain some phrases that are the same as in the corresponding WP article ... but, in general, my edits were written from scratch. [[User:Milton Beychok|Milton Beychok]] 17:34, 19 January 2012 (UTC) |

Defining value
I don't like the term "defining value" for a numerical value. In my view a definition will not change soon, whereas this numerical value may be adapted every two years or so. (I know that there are a few numerical values defined, such as the speed of light, but R is not one of them). --Paul Wormer 11:40, 2 April 2008 (CDT)

My edits of Jan.19, 2012
I re-titled one section and expanded it. I also added a new section. Those edits may contain some phrases that are the same as in the corresponding WP article ... but, in general, my edits were written from scratch. Milton Beychok 17:34, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
