Estonia (Estonian: Eesti), officially the Republic of Estonia, is a country in Northern Europe. It borders borders with Latvia to the south and with Russia to the east, and is separated form Finland with the Gulf of Finland in the north, and from Sweden by the Baltic Sea in the west. Its capital and largest city is Tallinn.
Estonia has been a member of the European Union since May 1 2004 and of NATO since March 29 2004.
