Could we lose the "etc."? Yes, I know fantasy can be found in more genres than those originally listed. However, I seem to recall a long ago high school teacher letting us know, in no uncertain terms, that she would regard it as lazy come grading time. The suggestion was that we should always take the time to determine exactly what we meant. Maybe she didn't like Yul Brynner or something. -Derek Hodges 15:03, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
It should also be pointed out that fantasy is not only a literary or story telling art. [1] -Derek Hodges 17:05, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Of course, very much so. I was drinkin' me mawnin' coffee when I did the rewrite, just to get rid of the ETC. You could add "games", video games, god knows what else. Also, I *don't* think fantasy is normally thought of as being in an "alternative universe", although it could be of course. I think of AU as being SF, but, of course, since AUs are almost certainly fantasy, then why not? Hayford Peirce 18:03, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
