Pierre de Coubertin
Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin was a prominent French scholar, teacher, litterateur and historian who is best known as the founder of the International Olympic Committee that organizes the modern Olympic Games.
He was born on January 01, 1863 and passed away on September 02, 1937.
The Pierre de Coubertin medal (also known as the De Coubertin medal or the True Spirit of Sportsmanship medal) is a special medal given by the International Olympic Committee to those athletes demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship in Olympic events.
