During the Vietnam War, YANKEE Station was a designation for the operating area of U.S. aircraft carriers operating against North Vietnam. It was not a fixed location, but the current assigned area for a typically two-carrier Task Force 77 of the United States Seventh Fleet.
YANKEE Station carriers provided naval air support for Operation ROLLING THUNDER, Operation LINEBACKER I and Operation LINEBACKER II.
