While I lack any true, formal training, I was under the expert tutelage of an English major for quite some time, and have been working in the gaming website community for many years.
I have a fairly wide field of interests--from videogames to sports to my downright bizarre memorization of everything related to The X-Files--meaning I dabble in a variety of topics.
