This article is nowhere near complete, but I'm almost the only author so far and it is about as far as I can take it. It needs various things added that either I do understand well enough to tackle or am not much interested in, often both. Anyone care to improve it? Also, since there have been 64 proposals submitted, the AHS section is likely to get very long. Having the [[Block cipher#The AES generation]] section in that article makes sense; those ciphers are actually in service. AHS is not; target date for the standard is 2012. I started the analogous section here, but now think it should move to its own article. Other opinions? [[User:Sandy Harris|Sandy Harris]] 11:25, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
:Don't feel bad when you get to what you consider your limits of interest, expertise, or time. That happens to me very frequently. Some of the ways I deal with it is being sure the article (and Related Articles) are very well linked, so others can find it. Occasionally, I'll put a note on the user page of someone that might seem interested. While I'd like to be able to do more of it, recruiting new Citizens with an interest, at least as reviewers, is another step.

This article is nowhere near complete, but I'm almost the only author so far and it is about as far as I can take it. It needs various things added that either I do understand well enough to tackle or am not much interested in, often both. Anyone care to improve it? Sandy Harris 06:14, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Also, since there have been 64 proposals submitted, the AHS section is likely to get very long. Having the Block cipher#The AES generation section in that article makes sense; those ciphers are actually in service. AHS is not; target date for the standard is 2012. I started the analogous section here, but now think it should move to its own article. Other opinions? Sandy Harris 11:25, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
