Change in status, aim of the page

I've changed the status of this article from 1 to 2, as I really don't believe it is developed yet. My main current concern with the article is that I don't actually know what it is about...

  • The article title suggests it is about the video game Super Mario Bros.', or perhaps about the pair of characters who make up the duo.
  • The article itself begins in a way that feels like it is solely about Mario. It then later talks about the game Super Mario Bros.. Later, it talks about the entire Mario series.
  • The definition clearly states that the article is only about the video game Super Mario Bros.'

So, here is my suggestion... split the article. Make a Mario (series) article to explain about all of the series, perhaps with a subpage Mario (series)/Main Characters to talk more in depth about the main characters, and/or a Mario (character) article to talk about Mario himself, as he is such a mascot these days. Have a Super Mario Bros. (video game) article that talks specifically about the first game (and separate articles for the follow-up games). --Chris Key 15:11, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

No objections in three months, so I'm going to move and split this article. --Chris Key 13:32, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
