Hello Yuval,
I am giving you this personal invitation to join us this week for Biology Week!
You're a Citizendium Biology Author and we need authors as much as editors here to get involved.  Did you know that there are over 200 biology authors here?  Yep!
Please join us on the wiki and add or revise biology articles.  Also, please let your friends and colleagues who are biologists, biology students, or naturalists, know about Biology Week and ask them to join us, too.  Any way you can help make it an event would be most welcome.  Think of it as a Biology Workgroup open house.  Let's see if we can kick up activity a notch!
Thanks in advance! --Larry Sanger 13:29, 22 September 2008 (CDT)

I moved out the discussion of acoustic energy on whale beaching, because it seemed far too specific for that article; see talk page. Acoustic energy is a high-level article that mentions generic and well-accepted effects on biological systems; Geophysical MASINT#Surveillance Vessel Low-Frequency Active discusses more specifics about sonar and whale behavior.  Even the sonar article may be too general for this issue, especially if it is not well sourced.
An ideal might be to have a cetacean behavior article, well-linked to these articles on man-made effects, but clearly, there have been beachings and aberrant behavior when there have been no nearby high-power sources. Howard C. Berkowitz 16:50, 28 September 2008 (CDT)

Hi Yuval, thanks for helping out with The Big Cleanup. Note that you've got to put the title of the article after "abc =". It's titled "abc" because the article title should be written in order for filing. So, for example: "abc = Descartes, Rene". --Larry Sanger 09:00, 21 March 2007 (CDT)

subpages9

Go ahead and place subpages9 on the top of Nitroglycerin and its talk page and you got it! --Matt Innis (Talk) 00:49, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Yes,:-) it would be better for a bot! I am quite sure one day we will have one.... .... .... meawhile, we probably need to keep doing it manually ;-) --Matt Innis (Talk) 00:58, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

There will be a bot that does a lot of this (see #4 here). The metadata page will probably have to be done manually though. You're right, it's a big job! Chris Day (talk) 01:30, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Don't forget subpages9 on the talk page, too.. that is where the really good stuff happens! --Matt Innis (Talk) 01:00, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

Yee-Haw, now you are having fun! --Matt Innis (Talk) 01:25, 9 September 2007 (CDT)

CZ International

Hi! I’m just letting people who have expressed an interest in CZ International know that there is now a proposal on the table.

Please discuss its feasibility at: CZ:Proposals/Internationalisation sandbox in the Discussion area.

Feel free to help develop the proposal, as well.

We'll also need "drivers".

If you've got no idea what I'm talking about, please refer to: CZ:Proposals/New and CZ:Proposals

Question on userinfo

Did you mean on my userpage or on my Forums profile? Howard C. Berkowitz 17:28, 12 August 2008 (CDT)

Ah. Thanks. I wonder if that's what had been fouling up the whole set of plans? I had stopped using it, and had it commented out. To be honest, I could sometimes write an article faster than I could log it there.

Cetacean behavior
