Robert Kagan, brother of Frederick Kagan, is a policy analyst and influencer, trained in interneational politics and history, as well has having worked with the neoconervatism|neoconservatives of the last decades. He is a cofounder of the new Foreign Policy Initiative.

1980s

Speechwriter and member of the Policy Planning Staff for U.S. Secretary of State George Schultz ((1984-1988}}; principal communicstor in Iran for the [Coalition Provisional Authority. State Department from 1984 to 1988 as a member of the Policy Planning Staff and as principal speechwriter for Secretary of State George P. Shultz.

1990s

He was a co-founder of the Project for the New American Century; senior associate, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, contributing editor at Weekly Standard|the Weekly Standard, columnist, Washington Post; member, Council on Foreign Relations and the Alexander Hamilton fellow in American diplomatic history at American University; son of Donald Kagan and brother of Frederick Kagan, and is a monthly columnist for The Washington Post, and contributing editor at both the The New Republic and The Weekly Standard.
